From NYC to Tel Aviv - my own GTM adventure

In June 2017, I made a deliberate move from NYC to Tel Aviv. I did for myself what I do for tech companies - mapped the environment I needed, identified the opportunity, and moved fast toward it. Professionally and personally, it turned out to be the best GTM decision I ever made.

I started my practice in the US in 2012. Fourteen years later, the work is still hands-on: positioning and GTM for B2B tech companies across defense + aerospace, deep tech, AI, cybersecurity, and SaaS - all selling into large organizations.

Before consulting, my product marketing roles put me inside tech companies - embedded with product, sales, customer success, and leadership. That's where I learned what makes positioning hold: the story has to be true to the product, and every team has to tell the same one. My work aligns product, sales, and leadership around one narrative and the same outcomes.

Three beliefs behind the work

01

Fit comes before story

A story only wins when the product behind it is built for the market and the specific buyer's needs. This is why my work starts with the product and the market, and the narrative comes second.

02

Positioning is a living asset

Markets move faster than they used to - AI, new competition, shifting buyer behavior. I recommend every company revisit its positioning twice a year, if not every quarter.

03

One story, told by everyone

When every leader and every rep pitches the company differently, deals slow down. One narrative, repeated everywhere, is what makes a company's story stick.

I post guides, industry analyses, and tactical checklists about GTM narratives and technology positioning.

Almost a decade ago, the big move was mine. These days I help tech companies make theirs.

Before your next big moment, run three checks: does your positioning still hold, does every stakeholder tell the same narrative, and will your audience remember what you want them to remember. The free review covers all three. Submit your deck - I'll send back the top 3 changes I'd make, within 3 business days.
